Memories of Daniel Ablitts childhood or from his surroundings are often a starting point for his work. Artist, Daniel Ablitt is inspired by outstanding natural beauty, woodland, alpine forests and the landscapes of south Somerset where artist, Daniel Ablitt lives and works.
Daniel Ablitt uses paint to evoke a mood or atmosphere and finds himself constantly fascinated by the stillness that can be found in his paintings. Daniel Ablitt has a love for unusual and dramatic compositions that make the viewer look at their environment in a new way.
A long standing interest in the human form has allowed artist, Daniel Ablitt to add narrative to his work by often placing solitary figures or mysterious groups amongst his landscapes. Daniel Ablitts intension is to make the figures the focal point of the paintings and allow them to have a magical, fairytale quality to them.
