Kitty Finegan, The Pop Art Collection

Kitty Finegan is a resident artist at interior angle art design gallery in Chelmsford, Essex

Kitty Finegan’s work is intended to take the viewer on a visual journey through the styles, culture and colour schemes of the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s. Kitty Finegan ‘sprinkles’ her own blend of high-gloss, 21st century glamour, over era-defining subjects, including synchronized swimmers, tattooed pin-up girls and roller disco-belles. Kitty Finegan rocks up the delicacies and traditions of The Far East presenting her subjects as a fashion statement and puts her own unique spin on the Harajuku "Fruits"; a youth movement who drive the popculture scene in Tokyo defined by their dramatic style and fashion.

Kitty Finegan's artistic intention is to simply delight viewers with imagery of female beauty, with an emphasis on facial expressions, bold colour schemes and a certain style that allows the viewer to decide which time zone the subject is from. She intentionally presents women of different ethnic origins as beautiful, desirable creatures with their own story and persona to discover.

Educated in Graphic Design, Kitty Finegan's work is designed specifically for print and is currently presented using a range of printing methods including c-type and silkscreen.

Kitty Finegan's influences include comic book illustrations, Las Vegas showgirls, neon lights, Hollywood Technicolour films, vintage Vogue Magazine and 1960’s pulp fiction novels. Kitty Finegan has recently published her first book of art prints and is currently working on a second publication.

Her work is in private collections throughout the UK and Ireland, San Fransisco, Barcelona, Boston and Naples and has been featured in Men’s Health Magazine, The Times, The Independent and Latest Homes Magazine.
