Tom Lewis, urban artist, has exhibited art work with interior angle art design gallery since 2005 selling original art and limited edition prints.
In 2010 Tom Lewis has become one of the most sought after urban artists. After a sell out exhibition of a Landscape Original Collection back in October 2009 at the London Affordable Art Fair, Interior Angle introduced Tom Lewis onto the US art market, this time showing a collection of original character paintings. Once again the collection was a sell out on the Private View evening of the New York City Affordable Art Fair, May 2010.
On Interior Angle’s return from NY, Tom Lewis appeared on an episode of Lord Sugar’s cult TV show, the BBC Junior Apprentice.
Interior Angle’s resident artist, Tom Lewis was one of a number of artists hand-picked by Sir Alan’s young professionals as they try their hand at art dealing on the BBC ‘Junior Apprentice’ June 2010.
The gallery was invited to a private view of the teenagers’ temporary gallery space to support them but also to test their creative selling techniques.
The two teams were given six artists to visit, and had to choose two to represent at a private art sale the following day. As the two teams clashed over Tom Lewis as the artist they both wanted, the decision was left to Tom Lewis. The team he chose went onto win their task!
Tom Lewis is a premium degree pencil wizard, and mouse master of the first order. Born in Birmingham in 1979, he is, at present, working as an artist and illustrator in the east end of London.
Tom Lewis has developed a distinctive style that draws on a variety of genres, producing eye catching work that is both accessible and increasingly collectable. He works with a number of techniques and processes, including painting, drawing, graffiti, stencils, photography and digital manipulation. His practice is split into two distinct modes, which he refers to as landscape, and character.
