NATALIE TKACHUK

Natalie Tkachuk is a new artist at Turner Barnes Gallery, in Chelmsford.
A collection of limited edition photographic prints by artist, Natalie Tkachuk, are now available at Turner Barnes Gallery.

Natalie Tkachuk’s work focuses on discovering beauty in the everyday & in the lost and forgotten. Using large format photography she brings lost and forgotten objects back to life exploring themes of memory and identity.

Born in Melbourne Australia in 1983, Natalie Tkachuk moved to the UK in 1994. Natalie Tkachuk achieved a first in BA Photography at Falmouth University of Arts in 2007 and is now undertaking a part time Masters in Photography at LCC.

The series ‘Traces’ are still life photographs of old letters and books collected to explore the ideas of the lost and the forgotten.

The collection ‘Posted’ is formed from personal letters that are like a visual poem, the scrawl of the handwriting, dusty smell, texture, old stamps are like a biography of someone’s life.

‘Archived Miscellanea’ is a series of obsolete items that have been thrown away and discarded. Many of these items are not familiar and recognizable, they are unidentified.

Natalie Tkachuk has been shortlisted for the Sony World Photography awards and gained recognition as a Nikon Discovery Award winner in 2007. Natlie Tkachuk has had work shown in many exhibitions and Art Fairs in London and across the UK.
