Artist, Gary Reddick was born in rural eastern Oregon, and since 1971 has lived and worked in Portland, Oregon.
Gary Reddick started work as an architect. The smells, the colour, the expanse, the line and shape of geology, the deep-rootedness in the land are easily recognized in Gary Reddick’s work. And mediums, whether clay, wood steel or paint have been his life-long vehicle for his expression.
Current work by Gary Reddick is acrylic on panel. Gary Reddick’s continued efforts in expressing the distillation of his observations and memory of his life in the West. Ever more refined and referential, the work is defined by an efficiency of information, imbued with poetry, lyricism, and mystery.
